Indigenous Legal Orders Minor
Windsor Law offers a Minor in Indigenous Legal Orders for students who want to deepen their understanding of Indigenous legal traditions, perspectives, and methodologies. To complete this minor, students must:
Successfully complete the first-year Indigenous Legal Orders mandatory course
Complete at least five upper-year law courses with substantial Indigenous content, such as Aboriginal Law in Society, First Nations Women and the Law, and Indigenous Peoples, Art and Human Rights
Include additional approved courses or experiential learning components as permitted by the Associate Dean (Academic)
This minor builds on Windsor Law’s commitment to Indigenous legal scholarship and engagement with Indigenous communities — an effort that includes land-based learning experiences and the work of the Indigenous Legal Orders Institute
